Panasonic account goes to Fleet Street Travel

Fleet Street Travel has won the Panasonic business travel account following an eight-way pitch.

The electronics company cited Fleet Street Travel’s flexible and customer-service driven approach as the reason for winning the account on undisclosed terms.

The contract will be serviced through the travel management company’s Knutsford operations centre.

Panasonic employs around 1,600 people in offices and factories in the UK. The TMC will manage the business travel requirements of nine divisions.

Fleet Street Travel managing director Michael Hare said: “We have a number of clients in the fast-moving world of electronics and mobile technology, and, now working with Panasonic reaffirms our position in servicing this dynamic segment.”

Michael McCoy, Panasonic’s European cost busters project manager, said: “We were looking for a travel management company that could offer value without compromising on service. Additionally, we wanted to centralise travel purchasing for all our divisions through one supplier.”
