Passengers get out of Denver but bags left behind
The snow drifts around Denver’s airport were melting and passengers were happy to finally get away after more than 2,650 cancelled flights, but luggage remained a problem.
There were piles of bags and luggage in disarray.
“We had bags that came without passengers, and passengers that came without bags,” Frontier spokesman Joe Hodas told The Denver Post.
The most impacted airlines were United and Frontier, which have large Denver hubs.
Some passengers were apparently so relived at getting out of the airport they simply left bags behind.
