Radical Travel Group, based in Edinburgh and known for its youth market brand Haggis Adventures, has successfully launched its newest brand, Highland Explorer Tours, aimed at the middle market.

Adrian Piotto, of Highland Explorer Tours, said the small group tours had achieved a satisfaction rating of 99 percent thanks to “passionate local guides who bring history to life”.

Accommodation of the tours is in accredited bed and breakfast establishments.

Piotto said the company would be putting more resources into Australia and New Zealand to drive the promotion of the product, which could be pre-purchased by travel agents for their clients

Unique to Highland Explorer Tours is the option to take a trip on the Jacobite Steam Train (voted top rail journey in the world and featured in the Harry Potter films) on both the 3-day & 5-day tours.

Highland Explorer also offers one-day tours which include the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and authentic Highland Games.
