Peregrine Adventures expands small ship cruising to Southeast Asian waters
After a first season of small-ship cruising in Europe, next up for Peregrine Adventures are the islands of Southeast Asia.
Itineraries will visit Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Indonesia archipelago.
Voyages begin from late 2018 and include eight-day itineraries along both the North And south Vietnam coastlines, calling at Halong Bay, the historic city of Hue, beach city Nha Trang and the lesser known Quy Nonh, Phan Tiet as well as key war sites.
A 15-day journey also combines the two.
Thai island hopping adventures sets sail from Phuket from December 2018 to diving mecca the Similan Islands, Ko Miang Ko Surin Tai and Khao Lak, and there is also an eight-day adventure from Penang to Phuket.
From July 2019, Perigrine heads to several under the radar Indonesia Islands east of Bali including Rinca, habitat of the legendary Komodo dragon, the tiny islands of Saringi and Karamat, Banta, and Satonda and Moyo, off the coast of Sumbawa.
Indonesia island hopping journeys are priced from A$3,695 per person twin share.
To kick off the launch of Asia Adventure Cruising, Peregrine Adventures is touting the Golden Ticket incentive.
Up for grabs to an Australian travel agent is a place on the new Thailand & Malaysia cruise after completing the new Asia Adventure Cruising training module.
Peregrine Adventures’ small ship journeys take 50 or fewer travellers to places the larger cruise ships can’t access guided by Peregrine Adventures’ local leaders and are inclusive of onboard kayaks, all transfers and excursions, as well as most meals.
"Traditionally cruising has all been about life onboard a big ship, but our style of Adventure Cruising is about the destination. It’s a completely new way to cruise in Vietnam and other parts of Asia because it’s about immersing yourself in a place, learning about the culture, visiting spectacular natural environments and enjoying fresh local food both onboard and onshore," said Filippos Venetopoulos, Peregrine’s Adventure cruising brand manager.
