Peter Smith appointed as General Manager ZUJI
ZUJI today announced that travel industry expert, Peter Smith, has been appointed as General Manager for ZUJI Australia.
ZUJI’s Chief Executive Officer, Scott Blume, commented: “Peter’s extensive experience in the online travel B2B and B2C space, and his wholesale travel background, makes him well placed to seize on growth opportunities for our Australian business. Peter will report to Scott Blume, CEO of ZUJI, and be part of ZUJI’s regional-wide Executive Team.”
An online travel advocate and a keen traveller, Peter has over 20 years experience in the Australian travel industry. His most recent position was General Manager of OctopusTravel. Prior to this he held other senior roles including Managing Director of Contiki Holidays, Group Marketing Director for The Travel Corporation and Executive Director of Insight Vacations.
“I am very much looking forward to becoming a part of ZUJI Australia and working with the company’s energetic and talented team. The role will be diverse covering not only management of the ZUJI site and team in Australia, but also the management of the Travelocity-owned OTC business, and close contact with ZUJI’s many Australian-based business relationships,” Mr Smith says.
Peter will begin with ZUJI Australia on 20 February 2006
