Phenix boosts Travel Counsellors’ turnover
Travel Counsellors reported a 22% increase in turnover to £166 million for the year ending October 2015.
It said the rise from £136 million the previous year was due to its investment in technology.
The business has seen a 13% increase in global sales through its in-house quote and booking technology, which allows counsellors to create tailormade packages.
"The proprietary software supports Travel Counsellors in their role, saving time, providing better documentation and prices, and enabling increased earning potential," it said.
MD Steve Byrne said: "These results show that despite the economic environment and political climate, appetite for holidays remains strong, and consumers are not willing to compromise on this area of their life."
He said Thailand and Spain remain very strong in August, with Las Vegas, Tenerife, New York, Orlando and Dubai firmly established as the ‘top resorts of the moment’.
Byrne said the company’s growth was directly correlated to increased use of Phenix, its in-house system in which it invests £1.25 million every year.
