Phillip Schofield named brand ambassador for Princess Cruises
TV favourite Phillip Schofield is to become the UK’s first brand ambassador for Princess Cruises.
The host of several TV shows, including ITV’s This Morning, The Cube and Mr & Mrs, has never travelled on a cruise before.
His first voyage will be on board Royal Princess in the Mediterranean next month and his experience will be filmed for promotional use and for sharing on his own social media.
Schofield is a wine enthusiast and he will experience Princess Cruises’ food and wine offering from the guest perspective.
Later in the year Schofield is due to travel again and will host onboard guest experiences.
He said "I am very happy to be working with Princess Cruises for my first ever cruise.
"They clearly take wine and dining as seriously as I do, so can’t wait to get onboard and experience it for myself.
"I also plan on being back onboard to try out the new Ocean Medallion later in the year."
He later tweeted:
Princess Cruises vice president UK and Europe Tony Roberts said Schofield’s appointment will help the cruiseline ‘reach a whole new audience who may have never considered cruising as a holiday option before’.
