Phuket sandboxs now available to vaccinated travellers from any country
Phuket’s sandbox scheme is now open to fully-jabbed travellers from every country.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand said the scheme had been expanded to all vaccinated travellers no matter where they travel fom..
Previously people from around 80 countries worldwide were able to travel under the sandbox program. All other nationals had to undergo quarantine.
Countries which were not allowed included neighbour Malaysia which is one of Thailand’s biggest source markets
"This means Thailand is now welcoming travellers from any country in the world to the sandbox program," TAT said. Foreign Ministry spokesman Tanee Sangrat said unvaccinated children would be permitted with their vaccinated parents.
