Pilot error blamed for Yeti Airlines crash in Nepal
The deadly Yeti Airlines crash in Nepal that killed 72 people has officially been attributed to pilot error.
A government report concluded the pilots cut the power in error, which led to the aircraft stalling.
The ATR 72 plane crashed just prior to landing in Pokhara in January 2023.
Jan 15 inĀ one of Nepal’s worst airplane accidents in 30 years.
There were 15 foreigners among the 72 people aboard.
There were no survivors.
It was Nepalās worst crash for 30 years.
The mountainous country has a poor air safety rating with several plane and helicopter accidents due in part to the terrain and high altitude unpredictable weather conditions.
