Pilots arrested at Glasgow
A flight to Canada was temporarily grounded at Glasgow Airport yesterday when the pilots were arrested because they were allegedly unfit to fly.
The captain and first officer of the Airbus A330 were reportedly ‘impaired through alcohol,’ said the BBC.
They were due to fly 345 Air Transat passengers and nine crew from Glasgow to Toronto yesterday at 13:00.
The pair, aged 39 and 37, were arrested under the Railways and Transport Safety Act.
They are due to appear at Paisley sheriff court, said the BBC.
The flight was delayed until this morning.
