Planners eliminate all waste
The Professional Convention Management Association kicked off its first “zero waste” campaign in Toronto during their annual meeting at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Also, all leftover food was donated to a local food bank or composted. Bottles and cans? They were all sorted and recycled.
So what did they throw away?
Badge holders. Convention officials say they could find no use for that product, but they added the badges might be recycled during future events.
