P&O Cruises’ latest ship, the 70,000-ton Pacific Dawn, is on its way to Australia after completing a multi-million dollar refurbishment in Singapore.
Sporting her new livery, Pacific Dawn [pictured right] left Singapore yesterday (Oct 28) and will arrive in Sydney next week for her official naming by Olympic Gold medallist Cathy Freeman in a spectacular ceremony at Circular Quay on Thursday, November 8.
Pacific Dawn’s refurbishment included the creation of a new entertainment area – ‘The Dome’ – and new dining areas, in preparation for the ship’s debut as P&O Cruises’ first superliner.
Carrying up to 2050 passengers, Pacific Dawn will pioneer ‘Your Choice’ cruising in Australia with options such as private balcony cabins, multiple evening dining venues and a range of entertainment offerings.
