Police make second arrest over alleged Bali murder
DENPASAR – Indonesian police have arrested a second man over the Bali murder of Sydney woman Heidi Murphy.
Local officials told ABC News that Ahmad Fahrul Rosi was arrested in Java and would be taken to neighbouring Bali for questioning today.
Last week Nuryanto Din Sudar was arrested at a bus station in central Java and moved to Bali on Friday, just hours after family and friends held a cremation ceremony for Heidi at a cemetery in Jimbaran.
Nuryanto has alleged that he had transported his friend, Achmad to and from a villa where the Sydney woman was staying on the night of her death.
But he said he had not participated in the murder.
Both men have been involved in past burglaries.
Ms Murphy’s body was found earlier this month with 16 stab wounds.
