Polish carrier expands for winter
Polish low-cost carrier Centralwings is to serve Edinburgh, Dublin and Shannon as part of an expanded winter timetable.
The airline is also increasing frequency on services from Gatwick to Warsaw and Krakow from 11 to 16 flights a week.
The airline claims the new routes will enable it to offer the only direct flights to Warsaw from Edinburgh and Shannon and from Dublin to Katowice and Wroclaw to Dublin. All will operate three times a week.
President Piotr Kociolek said: “Since launching our scheduled services in February of this year, we have achieved an average load factor of more than 70% – rising to more than 90% on our London routes – and carried more than 261,000 passengers.
“By operating a mix of charter and scheduled services we are optimising the use of our fleet, enabling us to keep our ticket prices low and appeal to both business and leisure travellers.”
Seats go on sale this week with one-way prices starting at £9.45.
