Portable device causes fire on flight from Moscow
A faulty portable charger is believed to have caused a fire onboard an Aeroflot flight from Moscow yesterday.
The device exploded shortly after the plane landed in Volgograd, causing one of the seats to catch fire.
Smoke engulfed a section of the economy cabin as passengers and crew evacuated, some using the emergency slides to escape from the Airbus A320.
A crew member used a fire extinguisher and a bottle of water to put out the burning seats.
