Portugal air fares ‘soar’ as holidaymakers rush back to UK
Air fares from Portugal have soared as tourists rush to return home amid fears that the country will be put back on the UK’s quarantine list later this week, according to Sky News. It claims British Airways’ flights on Thursday cost £554, while next week seats are available for £139. EasyJet, says the report, has no capacity left on flights on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from Faro, which serves the popular holiday destination of the Algarve.
