Preveza charters start from Stansted
Preveza in Greece, giving access to the Ionian island of Lefkas, is to be served by weekly charter flights this summer.
Satellite Travel is running the flights from July 22 to September 9 starting at £239 return in addition to services from Gatwick to meet demand from yacht and boating enthusiasts.
Managing director Barry Lewis said “This is the first year there has been a flight to Preveza from Stansted.
“Many of our clients come from eastern England and the Stansted flight is going to save them a lot of time and inconvenience.
“Preveza is the airport for the island of Lefkas, which is known as a great sailing destination but is also very popular for land-based holidays.
“Increasingly the British market is investing in property in Lefkas and there is a need for extra flights especially peak season.”
