Price comes up tops
Perhaps this is no surprise, but another study shows that price is the most important factor when purchasing a leisure vacation, according to 91% of travelers.
The study said that its sponsor, 11thHour, had the most interest, measured in clicks, for budget-themed vacations.
In addition to price, the online survey of 11thHour customers showed departure city and destination as second and third in order of importance.
When selecting destinations to visit, 41% of surveyed travelers knew the general region they wanted to travel.
The survey found the majority of travelers take to the road or the skies more than three times a year.
Most respondents preferred destination vacations as opposed to cruise vacations.
The average vacation time was four to nine days.
