Princess Cruises expanding in Canada, New England
Princess Cruises is expanding its Canada and New England cruise season capacity by 50% next year, the line announced.
“Our longer season and additional sailings will offer many more passengers the opportunity to experience the breathtaking views, incredible dining and historic ports of the Eastern seaboard,” said Jan Swartz, Princess’ senior vice president of customer service and sales, in a statement.
He added that Princess offers more private balconies than any other fleet in the region.
Three ships will offer 18 Northeast coastal sailings from 24 Aug. to 29 Oct., Princess said. This year the line will offer nine sailings on two ships in the region.
The Caribbean Princess will make its debut in the region in 2008 with seven-day roundtrip voyages from New York.
The line will resume visits to Montreal and make its maiden call in New London, Conn., on a new 11-day itinerary on the 710-passenger Royal Princess, between Montreal and New York.
Princess will also offer a 10-day cruise on the Sea Princess between Quebec City and New York,
The Royal Princess will also offer one 17-day repositioning sailing, Princess said, from Montreal to Fort Lauderdale, on 29 October.
