Princess doubles ex-UK Med cruises for ’07
Princess Cruises has released an advance brochure dedicated to cruises from the UK next summer.
The US line claims to have doubled Mediterranean cruises from Southampton on board Sea Princess for 2007.
Next summer’s sailings go on sale today, two months earlier than previously, with discounts of up to 45% on bookings made by May 30.
Sea Princess will make 10 departures from Southampton in an extended season between April 28 and September 22, 2007, with a seven-night short cruises leading in at £599. Fourteen-night Med cruises start at £1,066.
The redesigned Mediterranean and Short Breaks brochure acts as a preview for the main programme which is released in June.
The line’s UK-based head of brand marketing Pieter van der Schee said: “As well as offering increased capacity for passengers from the UK, we have also completely redesigned our brochure to underline the luxury and glamour of a Princess cruise. Princess’s distinctive American style is going from strength to strength in Britain.”
Sea Princess will be going head to head from Southampton with US rival Royal Caribbean International’s Voyager class ship Navigator of the Seas which makes its ex-UK debut in 2007.
