Princess launches cruise honeymoon registry
Princess Cruises is launching a Honeymoon Wishes Registry, allowing newlywed couples to get more out of a honeymoon cruise, thanks to family and friends.
The online tool works in much the same way as a wedding gift registry, where friends and family can contribute by with added perks and upgrades for the happy couple.
Couples can sign up at the honeymoon registry page, select desired gifts for their cruise and share all the details with family and friends.
Perks which can be purchased for couples include prepaid credits for shore excursions, drinks packages, onboard spa treatments, Wi-Fi, specialty dining and shopping.
Princess Cruises’ Vice President Australia & New Zealand Stuart Allison says it offers a more flexible and rewarding option for couples when selecting wedding gifts.
"With many couples already living together before marriage, the traditional home-start gifts are often not needed so newlyweds can now ask their guests to contribute to their dream honeymoon," he said.
Princess Cruises was a pioneer of weddings at sea back in 1998 and has long been noted for its romantic ambience – particularly through its affiliation with ‘The Love Boat’ TV series.
