Princess to screen live opera across fleet
A performance of La Boheme performed by the Metropolitan Opera in New York is to be screened live across 16 ships in Princess Cruises’ fleet this weekend.
The Puccini opera will be shown either on giant 300-square-foot LED screens used for Movies under the Stars screens on deck or in theatres on board the vessels on April 5.
The line’s senior vice-president Jan Swartz said: “We’re very excited to be breaking new ground with this first-ever Metropolitan Opera broadcast at sea.
“It’s a rare opportunity to present our passengers with such an enriching cultural experience included in their cruise.â€
