Private charter airline sanctioned over unqualified pilots
The Federal Aviation Administration has investigated private charter jet company Crow Executive Air Inc over allowing ‘unqualified’ pilots to fly.
The FAA alleges two airline pilots were not fully qualified.
The FAA states the ‘two unqualified pilots’ flew customers on one of its planes.
The agency has proposed a $67,500 civil penalty against the Ohio based airline.
The FAA hasn’t given specific details about how the pilots were unqualified.
Crow Air also failed to perform a ‘required equipment checks’ for the Cessna Citation aircraft flown by the two pilots.
The equipment checks relate to navigation equipment.
Crow Air has one month to respond to the FAA’s enforcement notice.
