Project Genesis mega ships named
Royal Caribbean International has named its two new mega ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas.
The 5,400-passenger Project Genesis vessels will be the biggest cruise ships in the world when they enter service from 2009.
Oasis of the Seas will be the first to begin operations, based in Fort Lauderdale in Florida at the end of next year. It will be joined by Allure of the Seas in 2010.
The 220,000 ton ships will feature 16 decks and offer 2,700 cabins.
The names were selected from more than 91,000 entries into a competition.
