Qantas accused of gagging engineers
A report on 2GB says that Qantas has been accused of gagging its engineers to stop them leaking reports of more defective repairs.
The Engineers’ Association says its members have found more faulty wiring and staples in Qantas planes repaired in Singapore and Association Federal Secretary, Steven Purvinas, says Qantas has tried to stop engineers telling the union of the discoveries.
“[They] had to hand over the ID numbers and so on,” he said.
“These new rules have been put in place [against] taking photos so it’s pretty hard to get too much information but at least we have got some details.”
