Qantas checks into online accommodation market
Qantas is entering Australia’s online accommodation market with the launch of a new service called Hooroo.
Hooroo will launch on July 18, although the website is already live and taking email registrations.
"Hooroo is a new kind of travel website," the airline says.
"Untold stories, inside tips and thousands of places to stay in Australia at awesome rates… and that’s just for starters.
"We’re here to inspire travel and to help you find the perfect place to stay on your next trip."
Footnote: According to the Urban Dictionary, Hooroo is a distinctively Australian way of saying "goodbye".
