Qantas rebuilds its A380 fleet
Qantas is expecting to have five Airbus A380 aircraft in service by the end of the week.
The airline was forced to ground its six super jumbo aircraft after a Rolls-Royce engine on one of its A380s was crippled by a mid-flight explosion last month, forcing an emerging landing at Singapore’s Changi airport.
Four of Qantas’s older A380s will be in service this week along with a new A380. Another new super jumbo is expected to arrive in January.
One of its older A380s remains under inspection while the A380 involved in the November incident is still being repaired.
