Qantas renews codeshare alliance with Air France
Qantas has signed a new, expanded codeshare agreement with Air France adding more connecting options via Asia for journeys between Europe and Australia.
From July 20, 2018, The ‘AF’ code will be added to Qantas flights between Hong Kong and Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and to and from Singapore via Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Air France customers will also be able to book through tickets on Qantas’ domestic network to Canberra, Hobart, Adelaide, Cairns and Darwin.
Likewise, Qantas customers can book Air France operated flights between Singapore and Hong Kong and Paris -Charles de Gaulle.
Loyalty points can also be earned in the respective frequent flyer programmes.
The new agreement sees more than 200 codeshare flights a week between the two carriers.
The reciprocal arrangement also extends to lounge access at Qantas lounges in Hong Kong, Singapore and across Australia, and Air France lounges in Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore.
