Qatar Airways increasing flights to Bangkok
The booming Thailand market is showing no signs of slowing down for Qatar Airways.
Ahead of another new route launch in the country later this month, the airline is planning to boost capacity to Thai capital Bangkok.
It will operate an additional daily flight to Bangkok from March 25.
That will take the number of weekly flights to Bangkok to 42.
"We are delighted to announce this additional service to Bangkok, one of south-east Asia’s most popular destinations. With our recent inauguration of direct service to Chiang Mai, and our upcoming launch of direct flights to Pattaya later this month, we are pleased to now make it easier than ever for our passengers to visit the Land of Smiles," said group chief executive, Akbar Al Baker.
Qatar Airways already operates 14 flights per week to Phuket, a daily service to Krabi and four times a week to Chiang Mai.
A new route linking Doha with the beach city of Pattaya kicks off later this month.
