Qatar to host travel management conference
The Guild of Travel Management Companies expects 125 delegates to attend its four-day 2007 conference to be held in Qatar.
The 32nd annual event is to take place on May 11-14 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Doha.
Guild members will fly with Qatar Airways to and from the conference, further cementing a partnership with the carrier – the only foreign airline to hold full GTMC membership.
GTMC chairman Paul Allan said: “The GTMC has been delighted with the growing interest and continued year on year success of the conference. For Doha the GTMC will be developing a programme which will be tailored with new and innovative ideas to help bring members and suppliers even closer together.”
Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said: “The conference will allow GTMC members to experience the airline’s newest aircraft the A340-600 (HGW), featuring an onboard first class lounge set to be the best in the air, in addition to the world’s first dedicated Premium Class terminal, which will open in Doha later this year.”
