Qunar aims to beat fraud with CyberSource partnership
Chinese online travel giant Qunar is teaming up with Visa Inc subsidiary Cybersource to implement its fraud management tool CyberSource Decision Manager.
The partnership will allow Qunar to offer secure payment services for international online and mobile transactions while extending its global reach.
"With CyberSource payment management services, we are able to enhance the end-user payment experience by allowing them to pay the way they prefer in a fast and secure manner. As we expand to reach customers globally, we are confident that with CyberSource’s consolidated payment management platform, we can reduce our total costs," said Zhuang Chen Chao, chief executing officer at Qunar.
Decision Manager homes in on potential fraudulent transactions by screening orders against various criteria from more than 60 billion transactions which are processed by Visa and CyberSource each year.
It involves 260 validation tests to analyse transaction patterns.
"In the global online travel sector, customers often look out for three main things — comprehensive information, competitive prices and a frictionless buying experience. CyberSource recognises that providing a hassle-free end-to-end online payment experience is intrinsic to building customer loyalty," said Poon Khye Wei, CyberSource’s senior regional director, Greater China and Korea.
