Really creative hotel amenities
Hotel guests have come to expect fully equipped gyms, Wi-Fi and daily newspapers. But some creative marketers are also offering more, as Forbes Travel Guide found out recently.
Among them:
—An art expert at the Hazelton Hotel in Toronto who impresses hotel guests with knowledge of what’s new in the Canadian art world.
—Montage Laguna Beach in California is offering a chance to surf with pros Pat O’Connell and Jon Rose. Available only from Sept. 14 to 16 for only a dozen people.
—All of the Westin hotel chain’s North American properties now loan out New Balance workout gear for $5. Shorts, skits, socks, shoes and other items are available.
