Record-breaking turnover for Travel Counsellors
A record-breaking turnover of £800 million for 2022 was announced at Travel Counsellors’ first annual conference in over three years.
“We have seen drastic decline and then one of the most rapid recoveries, that’s all down to the care we give to our customers,” said Steve Byrne, CEO.
More than 1,600 delegates including Travel Counsellors, support team colleagues and over 300 suppliers attended the event.
Delegates heard more investment will be made in 2023.
This includes £10m worth of investment into the Travel Counsellors booking platform, Phenix.
Customer Director, Dave Calla revealed new branding that will be unveiled in Q1 2023.
“The evolution will mature our brand and sharpen the brand experience.”
It was the first sustainable conference held by Travel Counsellors.
The company did not supply any single use plastics during the event.
All waste produced was directed away from landfill – either reused, recycled, composted or sent to energy recovery.
Delegates also heard from hypnotist, Paul McKenna, Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington, OBE and former apprentice star, Bianca Miller-Cole.
Delegates also raised over £5,000 for charity, Reuben’s Retreat, which was matched by Travel Counsellors.
