Record day for Travel Counsellors
Travel Counsellors has recorded its best ever sales day in its 20-year history.
The homeworking group said it achieved sales of £2.55 million on January 31, 5% up on the previous best day earlier in the month.
Overall, it said sales for January were up 18% on the previous year, topping £50 million in a month for the very first time.
According to sales director Malcolm Hingley, each UK agent has increased their income by 17%, while a record 166 UK Travel Counsellors had their best ever sales month in January.
Meanwhile, the business travel division is also reporting significant growth, with corporate revenue increasing by 22% in 2013.
"This is expected to increase further over the next 12 months," said the group.
Travel Counsellors operates in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, South Africa, Australia, Canada and The UAE with global sales for the financial year end (31 October 2013) at £390m, an 11% increase on the previous year.
