Record number of video viewings for Trailstream

A record number of over 1 million hotel videos were viewed by customers in July, according to rich media provider Trailstream.
The company now has a library of over 2,000 videos and is adding more.

“These figures confirm that the customer now expects a website to provide more information than ever before to help them when making a choice of hotel,” said managing director Dave Howard.

“Tour operators and travel agents alike need to address this to ensure their site offers the customer an enhanced experience when landing on their website to support book marking of sites and conversion of sales.”

Destinations at the top of the viewing list include Majorca, Sharm El Sheikh, Tenerife, Rhodes and Paphos.

“We have seen a strong and consistent growth in the viewing figures for some time now and it confirms that the customer will leave no stone unturned when researching their holiday and particularly under the current economic climate where value for money and making the right choice is more important than ever before,” added Howard.

Trailstream’s clients include Thomas Cook, TUI, Cosmos, Olympic Holidays, Directline Holidays and The Midcounties Co-operative.
