Organisers of Best of Britain & Ireland Travel Trade Forum are claiming a record number of trade registrations since they went live in mid December.
More applications for trade registrations were received in the first week than in the first three months last year, indicating clear support for the event in its second year.
Organisers say trade registrations were up by 300% year-on-year but declined to give details of the numbers received.
Best of Britain & Ireland Travel Trade Forum takes place in the Grand Hall at London Olympia on March 17-18.
The event and forms the centre piece of the fourth annual British Tourism Week.
New initiatives including a move to Olympia from ExCel, a VIP hosted domestic buyers programme and new exhibitors, are cited as driving the enthusiasm for registering this time.
Best of Britain Events managing director Rob Mackenzie said: "We know this is a very busy time of year for the travel trade so we are very happy to see so many registrations coming through so soon – which is tremendously encouraging.
“We are seeing applications from both new people and those who attended in 2009 and from across the industry which is a clear sign that it is united behind the event going forward.”
