Red Funnel appoints new CEO
Red Funnel has appointed Fran Collins as its new CEO from June 11.
Kevin George, the previous CEO, will become Red Funnel Group chairman.
Collins joins Red Funnel from Condor Ferries where she held the position of executive director operations for four years and prior to that was ports and guest services director.
George said: "Fran’s appointment as CEO is fantastic news for Red Funnel as we embark on the next stage of development of the business under our new ownership."
Condor Ferries CEO Paul Luxon said: "We are sad though to see Fran leave after a stellar career with Condor but her opportunity at Red Funnel is a significant next step in her shipping sector career journey, which started with a six week placement at Condor back in 2002. Her depth of knowledge, professionalism and experience will stand her in good stead going forward, and we wish her well."
Condor Ferries has confirmed the appointment of captain Elwyn Dop to replace Collins.
Dop, who has been working as a consultant and advisor to Condor since 2017, is a qualified master mariner with previous operations director level experience at Wightlink.
