Red Lion roars with ‘new industry standard’

Red Lion Hotels says its Web site sets a new industry standard.

The totally redesigned version of www.redlion.com is “filled with an array of ground breaking features designed to give its customers unequalled access to rates and information,” said the chain owned by WestCoast Hospitality Corporation.

Among the site’s tools are reference rates that for the first time give guests an idea of cost even if the travel date is not known; the ability to compare Red Lion’s rates against those on other travel sites; online access to a live reservation agent; and online redemption of the company’s deals.

The new site was completed after an analysis of customer needs. Said CEO Arthur Coffey:

“From that analysis, we’ve been able to design something that better meets the evolving needs of the consumer and sets a new standard for how hotel chains should present themselves online.”

Red Lion has 60 properties in 11 western states and Canada.
