Regional Travel Operations Manager

This role acts as the coordinating point for Service Delivery within the JAPA region and is responsible for ensuring service consistency and driving operations projects and best practice. This includes liaising with local market Service Delivery teams to ensure delivery of operational metrics and also acting as the key contact point for escalation and resolution of any service related issues.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide liaison between corporate client’s Regional Travel Manager/Branch Support Manager and internal local Service Delivery teams.
  • Accountable and responsible for the overall service delivery in JAPA and building relationships with senior management.
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with the corporate client’s Travel policy and operational procedures in all markets.
  • Consolidate travel in India, Japan with agreed timeline.
  • Consolidate service related issues and provide regular communication on travel advisories, new developments and initiatives.
  • Liaise with Service Delivery teams to understand obstructions causing challenges and to drive process changes.
  • Deliver agreed reporting (including monthly P&L) on key operational metrics.
  • Liaise with Quality Teams to understand route cause of Operational Service Delivery issues and to introduce systematized improvement.
  • Conduct regular meeting/conference call with Local and Global Service Delivery teams.
  • Conduct regular review meeting and user travel seminars with stakeholders at Corporate Client’s offices.
  • Accountable and responsible for the execution of agreed projects/initiatives

Unique Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of travel operations, suppliers, and systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Min. 7 years relevant working experience with in-depth Travel Industry knowledge and experience in JAPA.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent administrative and time management skills.
  • Strong project management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong PC knowledge including related PowerPoint/Excel/ Microsoft Project/Email skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and to influence both internally and externally.
  • Willing to travel regionally.
