Renaissance undergoing $1 billion upgrade
Renaissance Hotels & Resorts’ owners and franchisees will spend nearly $1 billion over the next three years to enhance the brand throughout North America, the company announced.
The money will go to new construction, property conversions and renovations.
One large investment will be in the “great room” concept, which will transform lobbies into spaces with entertainment and dining options, as well as leisure zones featuring wi-fi access.
Restaurants are also adding heart-healthy menus.
New bedding packages are planned and more guestroom technology to include flat-screen TV’s.
New services for meeting planners and groups are also part of the upgrade.
Renaissance is offering what it calls a “unique” perk: a $100 savings coupon redeemable at any Renaissance hotel or resort in North America in exchange for a a two-night booking.
