Rescue operation underway as Air India Express plane crashes with 200 onboard
An Air India flight from Dubai to Calicut has overshot the runway in heavy rainfall.
The aircraft, which had nearly 200 people on board, appears to have broken in two after skidding.
It’s believed there have been many casualties, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
Images on social media appear to show an aircraft broken in two pieces.
The accident happened at around 19:00 local time (14:30 BTS).
