Research reveals Europe’s cheapest ski resorts…
Ski holidays in Switzerland cost twice as much as in Germany, according to research by Kayak.co.uk.
The travel search website looked at the average cost of hotels, ski rental, day passes, and food and drink in the most popular European resorts, based on its hotel searches.
Germany was found to be the cheapest destination, costing an average of £160 per day (see table below).
Switzerland is the most expensive, costing £344 a day, followed closely behind by France at £334 a day.
But the cheapest resort overall was the Spanish resort of Leon, where the average cost is £117.
