Resort fees no longer hidden on Marriott bookings
Marriott has pledged to be more transparent with its pricing for resort fees. It will now display the resort fee component of a stay upfront following a settlement with Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro.
Shapiro sued the company for misleading customers over the true cost of a stay. When it implements the change, the total price of a hotel stay will appear on the first page of Marriott’s booking website including the room rate, resort fees and all other mandatory fees or charges.
