Riches defects to Lowcost
Paul Riches has quit holiday home rental specialist Interhome after less than two months to join Lowcost Travel Group in the new role of group sales director.
Riches, who was commercial director of Interhome, has been given a brief to develop Lowcostbeds and sister brand Resorthoppa's trade business across the UK.
He will also oversee Lowcostbeds and Resorthoppa’s trade European expansion plans. Both brands are now live in eight countries.
Riches said: ‘I am delighted to be joining Lowcost, at an exciting time of growth within the business. I look forward to working once again with the majority of the major UK trade retailers, in order to increase our UK and European trade business.’
Prior to joining Interhome, Riches was sales and marketing director at Youhotels (previously Youtravel) and he has also held senior roles at Libra Holidays and Cosmos.
Lowcosttravelgroup CEO Paul Evans said: "We are delighted that Paul is joining the company, he brings a wealth of knowledge that will benefit the relationships that both Lowcostbeds and resorthoppa enjoy with our trade partners.
"His appointment further strengthens our existing management team and will allow Tim Buckman, Lowcost’s former trade sales director, to focus on his role as managing director of Resorthoppa as well as take on the additional responsibility of our growing partnerships business including easyJet Holidays’.
Riches will start in his new role in December.
