Rigorous spa standards
What it called the first international luxury spa evaluation and certification program was launched by The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd.
Said Paul McManus, president and CEO of Leading Hotels:
“While many hotels and resorts purport to have ‘full-service spa,’ until now there has never been a global accreditation and certification process.”
He said the new criteria are strict and measureable.
To get the certification, a hostel’s spa facilities and services has to pass a rigorous process that has more than 200 criteria.
Of the 90 Leading Hotels that requested the Leading Spas inspection, only 48 met the requirements.
The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd., is a luxury hospitality organization representing more than 420 of the world’s best hotels and resorts.
