Ritz-Carlton checking in to Bangkok
Marriott International is bringing luxury brand Ritz-Carlton to Bangkok.
It signed a deal to open the first Ritz-Carlton property in Thailand’s capital which is scheduled to open in 2023.
It will anchor a 50-storey commercial tower near Lumphini Park at the ‘One Bangkok’ lifestyle district.
It will comprise 259 guest rooms and 32 suites, along with four restaurants and bars, a fitness centre and a ballroom.
It becomes the third Ritz Carlton in Thailand after Koh Samui and Phulay Bay and takes Marriott’s portfolio of luxury properties to 132 in Asia Pacific, including 26 Ritz-Carlton hotels.
"Having a Ritz-Carlton in Bangkok – especially in the exciting One Bangkok district – will be an extraordinary addition to our luxury portfolio for our Marriott Bonvoy loyalty members, tourists, business travellers and local residents," said Craig Smith, Marriott’s president and managing director of Asia-Pacific.
One Bangkok is being touted as a ‘global landmark destination’ and is due to open in 2022.
It will feature several hotels, commercial units, shopping and dining as well as cultural events and entertainment.
