Riu Hotels offers training for US agents
Riu Hotels and Resorts is offering its first educational program and certification for US travel agents.
The Riu Specialist Campus provides resources for US agents to get certified and receive news and latest offers from the group’s portfolio of over 100 properties.
The agent portal focuses on Riu hotels in the Caribbean, Mexico, and North and Central America, where 60% of all business is booked through travel agents, according to Sergi Ruiz Pique, vice president of business development and partner marketing, North America.
In addition to certification, agents will receive a voucher for a two-night stay at a Riu hotel based on future booking acivity.
The course has six modules highlighting key selling points of Riu hotels and resorts and its three distinct brands – Riu Classic, Riu Palace and Riu Plaza.
There are over 30 Riu resorts in the Americas, including Mexico, the Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Jamaica.
The latest addition, the all-inclusive Riu Playa Blanca opens today in Panama.
