UK based operator Riviera Travel has named Stuart Milan as new president of North America.

The appointment comes amid Riviera’s ongoing US expansion.

It follows last week’s announcement of the company’s new flagship North America office in Fort Lauderdale.

It is an expanded role for Milan, who will now divide his time equally between the UK and the US.

The luxury land and cruise travel brand also announced Marilyn Conroy has been appointed to a new role as executive vice president of business development and Francis Riley is SVP of trade sales and relations.

It says this strategic reorganization of Riviera’s North American senior leadership team will accelerate growth and bolster Riviera Travel’s US footprint

“North America represents a significant opportunity for expansion and growing our market share,” said CEO Phil Hullah.

“Stuart has been instrumental in driving our growth in the UK. Moving forward in his expanded role, he will be able to leverage his deep understanding of the Riviera brand to translate into success in the US market.”

Milan has 20 years of travel industry experience and now has a primary focus on operational growth in the US market

He will work closely with the UK and US-based teams to execute plans for market expansion.

Conroy has served as Riviera’s vice president of sales and marketing North America for the last seven years.

She will now play a crucial role in expanding the company’s trade presence and building brand awareness.

Conroy will work closely with senior travel executives represent Riviera Travel at key industry events, and collaborate with the company’s marketing, PR and sales teams to develop North American focused campaigns.

Riley will now oversee Riviera’s North American trade sales efforts.

He will work with Riviera’s team of regional sales directors to drive passenger growth and expand the brand’s market share.
