Robber makes off with cash from TUI store in Brighton
Sussex Police are appealing for information after a robbery at TUI travel agency in Brighton.
Cash was stolen by the man, who Police described as ‘brazen’, on Monday morning, but fortunately no-one was hurt. The shop was closed for the rest of the day.
Sussex Police said: "Police are appealing to Brighton shoppers after a robbery in the city centre on Monday morning.
"At 11.15am a man walked into TUI travel agents in North Street, threatened staff and demanded cash.
"No one was hurt and he left with a quantity of cash.
"He had nothing to disguise himself and is described as white, about 55, 5ft 8in with short brown hair and slim."
Detective Inspector Catherine O’Connor added: "This brazen man walked into the travel agent on a very busy street in the centre of Brighton. Did you see anything?
"Although he hadn’t covered his face, did you see a man leaving the area in a hurry at 11.20am?"
Anyone with information is asked to contact police, quoting serial number 349 of 22/10.
