Rosewood Hotel Group names new Asia development VP
Rosewood Hotel Group has beefed up its regional business development team with the appointment of Noel Merainer as vice president of development, Asia Pacific.
Merainer is tasked with leading the group’s regional expansion of its portfolio of brands including Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, New World Hotels & Resorts, penta hotels, and new lifestyle hotel brand KHOS.
He has 17 years’ experience in the industry and spent eight years at Marriott International in a variety of roles including vice president, development planning and feasibility for Asia Pacific.
He also held leadership positions with Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
"Noel has vast experience in evaluating business opportunities and securing successful projects, in addition to supporting the launch of new brands in Asia Pacific; we are confident his strengths will expand our footprint to new and exciting markets in the region," said Karl Bieberach-Dielman, Rosewood chief development officer.
The Rosewood Group portfolio now consists of 62 hotels in 19 countries across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
